The Thai alternative band, Tilly Birds, which consist of the lead vocalist Anuroth “Third” Ketlekha, guitarist Nutdanai “Billy” Chuchat, and drummer Thuwanon “Milo” successfully wraps up their first-ever Manila concert last September 9, 2023, at the SM Skydome!
Their Manila show was 2-hours long with a total of 25 songs in their setlist! The fans didn’t just enjoy the show but they also gathered new friends that have the same interest as them.
Here’s some highlights that happened during Tilly Birds’ visit here in Manila for their show.
PRESSCON
Few hours before their first-ever Manila concert, a press conferece was held at the SM Skydome with the press. The charming members of Tilly Birds showed up in the press with their utmost smile and enchanting answers.
The press conference was filled with outstanding answers from the band regarding their craft.
We asked them, “With remarkable tracks that you released, is there a specific time when you had a hard time writing or producing a song but felt really relieved after the song got released?”
Third expressed that when Same Page was released and when it got 10 Million views to 50 Million views until it got to 100 Million views, he can say that it was their breakthrough. Billy shared about their album for It’s Gotta Be Okay while Milo said it was for Until Then.
Tilly Birds shared their favorite songs as well.

Even though Billy said that his current favorite song is not yet released he just proceeded on the song that the fans already heard which is I’m Not Boring, You’re Just Bored.
Aside from that, Third shared how he grew up listening to Filipina divas like Sarah Geronimo and Kyla so he wants to collaborate with them. In addition, he posted after the press conference that Regine Velasquez, Lea Salonga and Sheryn were also the Filipina divas he grew up listening to. He also said that he wants to collaborate with H.E.R while Billy said he wants to collaborate with Beabadoobee.
They also shared the songs that they can recommend to new fans.

When asked about an English album, they all happily said “YES” there will be an English album soon!
25 TRACKS
Tilly Birds’ setlist for Manila had a total of 25 tracks that really hyped and made the fans feel ecstatic during the show. Opening their set with “I’m Not Boring, You’re Just Bored” the fans definitely felt the amusing vibe from the band as they followed along with singing the track. Followed by the tracks, “Bangkok Winter,” “ฉันไม่ใช่ (คนที่ใช่),” “Can’t Keep Up,” and “Worth The Wait” the fans felt the outstanding passion that the band have while performing.
Tilly Birds had amazing tracks but it is really visible how the fans really know every single lyric of their song specially with “Just Being Friendly” and “Same Page.”
We felt the genuine love of their fans as they sang their hearts out along with Tilly Birds during “Until Then” when all of the crowd just angelically sang altogether.
With the energetic and hyped crowd they had in Manila, Third even said that Manila fans’ energy was off the roof! Not just that but he complimented the fans’ voices and said that they’re beautiful singers and beautiful jumpers too!

FANS’ INSIGHTS ABOUT THE CONCERT
We managed to ask some of the insights of the fans that attended the concert. Nekon said that the experience he had during the Tilly Birds’ concert was perfect, fun and incredible!
“It was exhausting but a fun and incredible experience because they let their Filipino fans experience what it’s like attending authentic and original Thai pop band music. Hopefully, it’s not the end; I wish it will pave the way to open opportunities for other Thai bands to have their concerts here in Manila or maybe to have a Fanfest showcasing Thai music feels just like my favorite Thai band, Scrubb. Thank you so much for your music, Tilly Birds.”

Kate on the other hand said it was very fun even though it was tiring because they were jumping and screaming their hearts out for Tilly Birds. She also shares how even if there’s a language barrier since Thai isn’t their first language, they really felt the message of Tilly Birds on how they convey their music to their fans.
“As a concert-goer, it’s so good to experience watching a live band again. Being at a concert is a thrilling experience, the energy in the crowd, the pulsating music, and the shared excitement create a super fun atmosphere.”

CONCLUSION
Tilly Birds’ concert is not just a simple concert but it is definitely a night to remember as it has memories after memories that fans won’t surely forget. Not to mention, Tilly Birds also performed an unreleased song “White Pills” and even though the fans are clueless of the lyrics, they managed to feel the song that the band performed.
We can see the passion that Tilly Birds have from their press conference up to the last minute of the show and we felt the dedication that they have in their craft. Making music and connecting with your audience wasn’t easy but Tilly Birds definitely made it smooth and on how they want to convey their music.
