Very straightforward, funny, and right amount of drama, this movie definitely will make you and your barkada laugh throughout the film.
I Am Not Big Bird follows the story of Luis “Carps” Carpio (Enrique Gil) whose engagement was turned down when he proposed to his long-term girlfriend. To be the “bigger man” he decided to go to Thailand with his best friends, Macky (Nikko Natividad) & July (Red Ollero). Unexpectedly when they arrived in Thailand, Carps is mistaken for the well-known porn star named “Big Bird” and some locals even ‘greeted’ him with a slap because of it.
Directed by Victor Villanueva who is also the director of Patay na si Hesus, Kidnap for Romance, and Bar Boys.

FUNNY PUNCHLINES
The movie is raunchy but the cast’s witty punchlines will make you laugh throughout the movie. You will even hear repeating the word of men’s genitalia from July in some parts of the movie that will make you laugh especially when he is looking for a “kababayan” or Pinoy that can help them in their stay in Thailand. Not to mention Macky’s support line and reactions that will make you laugh. Enrique showed in his movie as Carps that he could be this wacky and wild. It is very refreshing.
UNEXPECTED CHARACTERS & SCENARIOS
The movie is like ‘Never let them know your next move’ just like some of the characters in this movie and you’ll encounter them when Prajak Tithi (Pepe Herrera) accompanies Luis, Macky, and July at a bar to ‘have fun.’
During one part of the movie, they also have an ‘announcement’ part that will help you ‘imagine’ because imagining is better right?
NATURAL DELIVERY OF LINES FROM THE CAST
The actors are good when it comes to their craft and they portrayed their characters well. Nikko is so natural in his acting and very entertaining. You will see a different Enrique in his comeback movie.
The comedic timing of the movie is also great, especially Macky (Nikko Natividad) and July’s (Red Ollero) lines are very on point and you will end up thinking about what could be his next lines that will make you burst into laughter.
Pepe Herrera as Prajak Tithi will also make you laugh because of how unexpected his character arc can be from being a tour guide to being included in the mess of Luis and his friends to becoming a good help to Luis and his friends and so on. (You will have to discover what he did through this movie)
RIGHT AMOUNT OF DRAMA
All the laughs aside, this movie also covered the friendship of Luis, Macky, and July. You’ll get to see why Macky and July acted the way they were at one point in the movie because of Luis, the way they handled their frustrations as friends, and how they resolved their arguments.
The movie also featured Pattaya, Bangkok.
