Under Parallel Skies is a 2024 romantic cross-country film directed by award-winning Filipino director Sigrid Andrea Bernardo. Starring Filipino actress Janella Salvador and Thai superstar Metawin Opas-iamkajorn.
THE PLOT
If you’re a big fan of romantic-comedy-drama films then this is for you. Under Parallel Skies follows the story of a Thai bachelor, Parin (Win Metawin), who travels to Hong Kong in search of his missing mom. Parin encountered a Filipino hotelier, Iris (Janella Salvador), will helped him find love, happiness, and healing.
Throughout the film, it will unveil the mystery reason why Parin’s mom suddenly went missing and how the story of Parin and Iris will develop.
THE ACTING
We already saw Win and Janella’s individual works before in romantic-themed projects but Under Parallel Skies unveiled a version of themselves that surely improved their acting skills. Win and Janella’s charms, natural emotions, cuteness, and cheeky personality made Iris and Parin more remarkable.
You can feel the emotions Iris and Parin felt in the film, may it be the kilig, funny scenes, and of course even the pain and heartbreaking scenes. They made it as if you were the one experiencing those emotions.
